Eddie Murphy will reteam with his original Beverly Hills Cop co-stars from across the franchise — Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot — in Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop 4, according to diversity.

Reinhold, Ashton, Reiser and Pinchot will join a cast that includes newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises, Inception) and Taylor Paige (Zola, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom). It has not been announced who each of these actors will portray or what side of the law they may be on.

As for the original actors returning, Reinhold and Ashton played Detective Billy Rosewood and Sergeant John Taggart, who were hired to track down Axel Foley as he tried to solve his best friend’s murder. Reiser plays detective Jeffrey Friedman and Pinchot stars as fan-favorite Serge.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley Directed by Marc Molloy and written by Will Bell, Murphy stars and produces alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman and Melissa Reid. Caris Hewitt-Webster and Ray Angelique will executive produce.

Beverly Hills Cop 4 has been in the works for several years. In June 2016, Belgian directors Adil El Arabi and Billal Falla were hired to direct, with production expected to begin in 2017. That, obviously, didn’t happen and the pair went on to direct episodes of Bad Boys 4 Life and Ms. Marvel. Beverly Hills Cop 4 was originally announced in the mid-’90s, and then again a decade later, with Rush Hour’s Brett Ratner initially directing. Several attempts have been made over the years to revive the action-comedy franchise for television.

The original Beverly Hills Cop was released in 1984 and was the most successful film of that year. It was followed by two sequels in 1987 and 1994.

Another recent–and welcome–surprise addition is the Ferris Bueller Day of the Spin-off, centered on the valets who recklessly drive Cameron’s Ferrari in the 1986 classic film. A Ferris Bueller spin-off is reportedly coming from Cobra Kai creators John Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Held.
