Cyberpunk 2077 is getting another up-punch with a futuristic update to its visuals that will include Nvidia’s latest features, including Ray Tracing: Overdrive mode and Nvidia DLSS3–both available only on the RTX 40 series.

As announced by Nvidia, the RTX 40 series will feature the third iteration of Deep Learning Super Sampling. DLSS3 can quadruple performance compared to normal rendering–which roughly means players get better quality graphics at higher frame rates.

Ray Tracing: Overdrive mode basically increases the fidelity of reflections, lighting and shadows. According to of nvidia blog, Ray Tracing: Overdrive mode in Cyberpunk 2077 will bounce ray-traced lights and reflections multiple times, creating more “immersive global illumination.”

Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t the only game that will enable DLSS3. There are 35 other titles, including Microsoft Simulator and The Witcher. According to Nvidia, the first visual updates to support DLSS3 will roll out in October 2022.
