The first weekend of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta has come and gone, and the second weekend is about to begin.

#1 of the weekend was all about PlayStation. Despite Activision’s ongoing acquisition by Microsoft, the PlayStation/Call of Duty deal remains — for now. If Microsoft’s purchase goes according to plan, this will be the last year we see PS4 and PS5 gamers get an edge in Call of Duty releases.

This time, however, PC and Xbox gamers have to wait. They may return to two separate beta stages this weekend. Here’s how it breaks down:

Modern Warfare II Beta Weekend #2 Early Access begins Thursday, September 22nd at 10am PT / 1pm ET. It is open to all PlayStation gamers and PC and Xbox gamers who have pre-ordered or have an Early Access key.

Content creators—like yours truly—are giving away keys before beta look Video below For instructions on how to get a beta key on PC or Xbox:

The open beta—which includes all players on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation—starts Saturday, September 24th at 10am PT / 1pm ET.

The beta is a controversial introduction to Modern Warfare II, with several divisive gameplay decisions such as removing enemy nameplates stirring the pot. I’ll be interested to see what everyone thinks.
