Just so you know, iconic horror movie villains like Michael Myers, Blissfield Butcher and The Grabber are on the list this time.

“We’re really excited about this because it’s a real-world use case that we’re trying to demonstrate with people,” said Moonpe CEO Evan Soto-Wright. “We’re moving beyond the profile picture identity movement with NFTs to actual real-world utility.”

The best part is, these NFTs require little to no crypto knowledge to claim. “It’s basically a claim page where you put in your email address and boom, what we do in the background is we mint that NFT, we create a wallet for that particular person and they’re able to claim it when they’re ready,” Soto-Wright said.

Seven types of NFTs are available at both Orlando and Hollywood Universal Parks. Those who collect all seven will be awarded with a special gold medal NFT. What this unique NFT does, Soto-Wright prefers to keep it a secret.

About Hypermint and Universal

For the uninitiated, Hypermint is a self-service NFT minting platform launched in June by Moonpay in partnership with Fox Corporation, Universal Pictures, Selfridges, Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Records and more.

What it does, is provide a service that allows brands to easily create, mint and manage utility NFTs. In fact, companies can create up to 100 million digital assets at a time with Hypermint.

So far, British luxury department store Selfridges has released Hypermint NFTs to celebrate artist Victor Vasarelli. In July, the platform partnered with renowned New York street artist Alec Monopoly to launch Rags to Richie, a collection of 6,500 hand-painted NFTs.

In the future, Moonpay and HyperMint are expected to partner with more big names in the entertainment, music, and gaming industries to create more NFTs with added utility.
