Donald Trump has reportedly tasked an aide with following him and giving him “positive reinforcement” amid an unprecedented onslaught of criminal and civil investigations into his conduct as both president and private citizen.
is revealed by of the New York Times Maggie Haberman, one of Trumpworld’s most decorated reporters. Ms. Haberman has been under Trump’s beating since the former president left office and set up court at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
He previously reported that the president was telling supporters at the resort throughout 2021 that he would be “reinstated” as president, continuing to support his false claims about the 2020 election. That rumor has turned into reality as the former president has now repeated that claim on his Truth social platform amid new reports that the FBI (under his watch) warned social media platforms about foreign efforts to spread disinformation during the election season.
“Like Trump has been out of office for the last 20 [months]A rotating cast of helpers is tasked with following him around the golf course at the club he’s at and feeding him positive energy from Twitter and wherever else they can find it on the web. [people] said of the practice,” times the correspondent tweeted.
It’s no surprise that Donald Trump is now looking for any sign of encouragement, if any efforts to hold him to account bear fruit.
The former president is now mired in a virtual jungle of investigations centering on issues ranging from his past handling of the Trump Organization to a deadly congressional blockade in 2021 and his months-long effort to overturn the 2020 election.
Most recently he has come under investigation for alleged illegal retention of classified material at Mar-a-Lago, including (allegedly) information related to nuclear defense or other countries’ capabilities.
