According to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, Microsoft is still looking to bring the critically acclaimed MMO Final Fantasy XIV to Xbox.
During a recent interview with Dr game watch (via VGC), Spencer was asked if there was still a chance of seeing Square Enix’s MMO on Xbox three years after he commented on making the goal a reality.

Since its launch in 2010, Final Fantasy XIV has been ported to PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and most recently PlayStation 5. The latter was an enhanced experience for console players featuring full HD graphics options, 60fps and native 4K resolution. The current-gen upgrade was made free for users registered for the PS4 version with an active subscription in 2021.
Elsewhere, it has been confirmed that FFXIV’s entire 6.X storyline will center around the Thirteenth Shard.
