Players have already found a way to unlock it Modern Warfare 2 MP5 In the beta, despite the gun lock known as the Lachmann Sub in MW2, the MP5 can be unlocked through the advanced Modern Warfare 2 gunsmith system, but you’ll have to think outside the box a bit as the unlocking method is somewhat unorthodox.
By choosing a specific loadout and perk combination in FPS games, You can earn MP5 by leveling an assault rifle in the same family of weapons. The popular submachine gun has returned to most modern Call of Duty games, so it’s no surprise that fans have already found a way to equip the weapon after only a few days. How to Unlock Modern Warfare 2 MP5 During Beta
To unlock MP5 in Modern Warfare 2 beta, you’ll want to create a new loadout. The most important thing to make sure is that you choose overkill as a perk, as the overkill perk allows you to carry a second primary weapon instead of a secondary.
You will need to equip the Expedite 12 shotgun as your primary weapon, as the Lachman-556 assault rifle will automatically be assigned as your secondary primary weapon but is otherwise unavailable in the beta so far.
At this point, before you equip the MP5, you need to drop down and kill something. Only by leveling your Lachmann-556 AR to level 13 can you unlock the MP5. Level 13 unlocks both the Latch-9 receiver and the Latchman SMG variant – in other words, the MP5.
While easy once you get the hang of it, it’s a loophole, so it’s likely to be patched out for the rest of the Modern Warfare 2 betas. As one of the most popular weapons in COD history though, hopefully that won’t happen, but we’re keeping an eye on the situation. No changes have been noticed in the patches so far, but Infinity Word is working on a fix to fix the slide cancellation.
